There’s only one place any backpacker in Australia wants to be on NYE and that is in Sydney. To see in the New Years Eve with an amazing fireworks display and the picture post card back drop of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
The Jolly Swagman Backpackers Hostel Sydney is in a great location for the NYE events as it is walking distance from Mrs Macquarie’s Point and Rushcutters bay as the massive crowd fill these plazas and public parks. Lining the shores of Sydney Harbour, where many people picnic and wait for more than 10 hours to watch the two – 9pm and midnight firwork spectaculars over Sydney Harbour.
“I think you’d all agree that the million plus people around our harbour last NYE had the time of their lives.” That was certainly the view of the Sydney backpacker’s that stayed here last year”
“…Stunning weather, a beautiful night, wonderful harbour, awe-inspiring and technically impressive fireworks and bridge effect and a very successful night….”
The fireworks show, which featured 20,000 pyrotechnic effects fired from the Sydney Harbour Bridge not to mention the displays around the bridge, on top of Sydney skyscrapers and pontoons positioned around the Sydney Opera House was an absolute extravaganza!
