The State Library of New South Wales is hosting the World Press Photos again this year and they are definatley worth checking out. This Exhibition is the best known and takes place every year in over 80 cities worldwide. You can view the award-winning photos from Now until 31st May, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Weekends 11am to 5pm. The Library is located on Macquarie Street, only a short walk through the Botanical Gardens from The Jolly Swagman.

The Whale watching season started yesterday with a 13m long whale wowing witnesses when it breached at Coogee beach, about 2 nautical miles off the coast at around 1.50pm.  At the moment their are only two or three pods and by June there will be 50, 60 or 180 going through in a day!! You can book Whale Watching tours at our travel desk so you can get in on the action..
