THIS WEEK IN SYDNEY:

Dust-Storm, Wind, Another Dust-Storm, More Wind- Sydney has had an extremely bizarre week in the meteorology department; asthmatics have been warned to stay indoors despite the appeal to go out and see the huge metropolis glowing in bright orange dirt. Owners of swimming pools and white cats were especially annoyed!

SYDNEY SPORTS:

Whilst any mention of AFL is typically considered rather ‘un' Sydney; a special mention needs to be made for the grand final match played this weekend at the Melbourne Cricket Ground between Geelong and St Kilda; with Geelong taking victory in this nail biting match.

Closer to home, Parramatta Eels and Canterbury Bulldogs played out with the Bulldogs beating the Eels 21-18.

SYDNEY WEATHER:

Europeans are packing their bags early and saddling up to go home after no longer needing to keep the Uluru leg of their Australian adventure, at least the ones who looked outside the hostel on Wednesday morning. Freak winds and storms are expected to decrease this week; tops 28 degrees; minimum 11. Possible showers Friday.
