Welcome to the Jolly swagman backpackers accommdation Sydney

The Christmas and New Year period in Sydney is a wonderful time - right in the middle of summer and leading into the Sydney festival that takes place during the entire month of January.

During Christmas and New Year, Sydney is so busy that it is very difficult to secure a bed.

Our policy is to have a minimum stay period of 7 nights.

The reason we have such a long booking period is that we try to create a really fun and unique Christmas and New Years atmosphere within the hostel in Sydney. Rather than having a hostel full of individuals, after spending a week or more together, by New Years Eve we have a hostel of people who know each other as friends and every one is part of our surrogate family. No one is left out and there is plenty of good times to be had and life long friendships to forge!

This is how is works:

There are no check-OUTS from the 28th December through to 3rd January. That is,
your booking must begin on or befroe the 28th December, and must be for a minimum of 7 nights or more and you cannot check out before the 4th of January.

To guarantee the reservation we will require your credit card number and expiry date.

We will also need to charge your card in advance, for the entire stay. The charges will be made on the receipt of your reservation. We do not allow cancellations at all and changes are only possible if there is availability.
